Slava’s Snowshow in Austria
(Vienna, Museumsquartier)

Finally, after more than four years of waiting, Slava’s Snowshow made it to Vienna again. We saw this great and wonderful show two times back in November 2003 at the Ronacher. Back then we made the decision that we will visit it again by all means, should they ever come back to Austria.

And they did. :-) This show is a really magical thing. It was created by the best clown in the world (we are definitely not talking about the circus-like low level clown-stuff), Slava Polunin, a Russian who is a former member of the Cirque du Soleil. Apart from the mystical scenes that are created during the show, the other really great thing is, that there’s a lot of interactivity. At the end of the show, the audience becomes the main actor and the clowns become the audience. :-) Adults act like children and there are only happy and laughing faces. People just having fun and enjoying themselves.

Can’t get enough

On saturday we will visit the show again. This will be the second time in 2008 and the fourth time alltogether. Well, actually the 5th time if I count the press conference in 2003 where Slava presented a few main parts of the show and answered our questions.

At the end of the show the audience plays with some big balls. ;-) Check out the video below. The song in the video is called “blue canary”.
